Dr. Tony Guthrie has been dedicated to the discipline of Expository Preaching since beginning his pastoral ministry in 1986. He holds five degrees from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, culminating in a Ph.D. in Expository Preaching in 2002.

Dr. Guthrie’s ministry combines decades of pastoral leadership and academic excellence:

Pastoral Leadership: Served as lead pastor for three churches (1992–2002) and as a Certified Transitional Pastor for six congregations (2002–2012).

Higher Education: Worked as a full-time Professor of Preaching and Pastoral Ministries at Luther Rice Seminary until 2014. He continues to shape future ministry leaders as an adjunct professor at NOBTS, Legacy Bible College, Huntsville Bible College, and the Huntsville Theological Institute.

In addition to his ongoing teaching ministry, Dr. Guthrie has owned and operated a local service business in the Huntsville, Alabama area since 2018.
